Tech Mahindra signs a MoU with Business Finland

Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation services, consulting services and business re-engineering services has signed a MoU with Business Finland to work on research and development of 5G and 6G services. The leading IT service provider said that this research and development will be progressed with the setting up of an innovation lab in Finland.

What is Business Finland

Business Finland is a government agency directed by the Finnish Minister of Employment and the Economy, for research and development in 5G and 6G. It is part of Team Finland network. Business Finland’s mission is to progress growth and create opportunities for Finland using innovation and global cooperation.

Objective of this deal

The MoU was signed at the Noida campus of Tech Mahindra in presence of Timo Harakka, Minister of Employment, Finland and Jari Gustafsson, Permanent Secretary of Economic Affairs, Finland. Under this MoU, Tech Mahindra will develop, pilot and implement state-of-the-art digital products and services to derive growth, productivity and innovations for 5G and 6G development. This innovation center will also serve as a platform for various entities to connect and collaborate to work towards research and development. Through this innovation center, various universities, research institutes, government and companies can work together for growth and development.

The primary objective behind this initiative is to make 5G and 6G enterprise usable and create enterprise ready application which can have long term benefits for these enterprises.

Opinion on this deal

According to Timo Harakka, Finnish Minister for Employment, this MoU is an excellent step towards bringing more connection and collaboration between Finland and Mahindra Group. He said that he is very hopeful of the growth prospects that this deal will bring to Finland. This is a great step towards exploring the possibility of establishing 5G/6G innovation hub in Finland. This cooperation will be mutually beneficial and provide great opportunities for both Finland and Tech Mahindra.W
