IBM launches Cloud Park to act as a quick response for cyber security threats

IBM on Wednesday launched a new service ‘Cloud Park for security’ which will act as a deterrent to any king of cyber threats. This service will have the ability to connect with any other security tool, cloud or on-premise system without actually transferring data from one place to any other place.

This service is an open-source technology which will have the potential to identify threats and use automation capabilities to respond to any kind of cyber threats. Open Source also gives it the feature to run on any kind of environment. This platform will act as a search and act kind of service. It will first serach and identify the security threat related data from various sources. Based on that data, the platform will generate number of critical security insights from across company’s multicloud environment. Any other additional tool or application can also be integrated with this new platform.

In todays world, cloud has become a necessity and once the cloud program for any company matures, the company’s application, softwares, data and various infrastructure related assets are distributed across various public, private as well as on-premise cloud resources. This fragmented data requires a lot of attention towards data security and protection. Often, a lot of efforts are being spent by security teams to identify the loop holes and work on that. They have to continuously switch between different screens and point products. The new cloud platform will serve as a boon for such security teams.

As per General Manager, IBM Security, Mary O’Brien, this ‘Cloud Park for Security’ will help in establishing a more connected security ecosystems designed for hybrid multicloud world.

TCS launched Microsoft Business Unit(MBU) to help enterprises use Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are talk of the town and to conceptualise it, TCS is setting up a Microsoft Business Unit(MBU) to help enterprises leverage Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, automation and cloud.

TCS has a huge talent pool of around 50,000 employees who are trained in Microsoft Technologies. With this new launch, TCS is trying to use this talent pool and domain expertise to help enterprises leverage AI, automation and cloud.

This is expected to improve customer experience, employee empowerment, optimize operations and increase innovation. The new MBU will be led by Siva Ganeshan who has been a part of TCS for around 29 years and have worked on multiple leadership roles.

In this digital era, everything is computerized and hence its vital that customers are enabled to take every advantage of the opportunities to transform and accelerate in digital world.

Infosys gains the title of Karnataka’s IT Ratna for topping Rs 10,000 cr in IT exports

Inofsys has been recognised as the IT Ratna of karnataka at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2019. This is due to the fact that Infosys has crossed IT exports worth Rs 10,000 cr. The title has been awarded by Software Technology Parks of India(STPI). STPI is an autonomous body under Ministry of Electronics and Information technology(MeitY) set up with an objective to promote software exports from India.

As per the existing rules, if the exports are equal to greater than Rs 10,000 cr, then a company gets IT Ratna title, if exports are more than Rs 2000 cr and less than Rs 10,000 cr, then IT Pride title is awarded. As a result, 15 other global companies were awarded IT Pride title. These includes Oracle, Goldman Sachs, SAP Labs and Intel etc.

Some other awards were also given. Technicolor India wins in the highest new IT jobs creator category. Whizchip Design Technologies won award for high growth in IT exports valued between Rs 5 crore and Rs 20 crore.

STPI also recognised non-Bengaluru based companies within Karnataka. In Mysuru region, L and T Technology Services is recognised for highest IT exporter followed by Excelsoft Technologies in the Information Technology Services(ITES) category. KricMic Design and Diya Systems won under
Mangalore region while Sankalp Semiconductor in Hubbali region.

L and T Technology Services, Mashreq Global Services, Temenos India and Hinduja Global Solutions were recognised for high growth in women’s employment in IT sector.
